Health Connect Clinic Medication Management is a time-limited service, available primarily while clients are involved in other HCA services.
Part of the clinic team, the Clinic Case Manager follows clients as they transition through HCA programs to ensure coordination of care and to facilitate approriate referrals for long-term follow-up and maintenance of a client’s behavioral health.

Shawn Brady, PMHNP-BC is a Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. He completed his Nurse Practitioner graduate degree in Psychiatry at Vanderbilt University and has a B.S. in Psychology from Middle TN State University. He has clinical experience with adult intensive outpatient substance abuse group therapy, adolescent anger management group therapy, medication management with children, adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations, and behavioral modification with children ages 2-6. He also worked with a Sex Education Cadre focused on bringing responsible, comprehensive sex education to Middle Tennessee area schools, including meeting with and providing education for students, parents, educators, and administrators. Shawn spear-headed a program to present the Michigan Model of Health as an effective program to address elementary, middle, and high school student sex education and to teach risk avoidance to students in school counseling graduate programs.
Crystal McGlothlin, RN, FNP-BC earned her Masters of Science in Nursing from Old Dominion University in Virginia. Crystal has been specializing in mental health support services since 1999 and served as the Intellectual Disabilities Nursing Services Supervisor at Cumberland Mountain Community Services. She currently works with Health Connect America as a Nurse Practitioner in both Tennessee and Virginia.
Melissa Sisco, RN, SANE-A, PMHNP earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Tennessee Tech and a Master of Science in Nursing—Psychiatric Specialty at Vanderbilt University in Tennessee. She is also certified as a Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE-A), and has over 10 years experience in emergency/disaster response nursing. Melissa currently works with Health Connect America as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner.
Susan K. McGuire, MD is a board certified psychiatrist who is currently the Medical Director of the Southeast Center of Excellence. Dr. McGuire received her medical degree from the University of Kentucky Medical School in Lexington, Kentucky, and completed her psychiatry residency training at University of Kentucky Medical Center as the Chief Resident. She is a Distinguished Member of the Academy of Child & Adolescent Psychiatry.
Cynthia Rector, MD is a Board Certified Psychiatrist. Dr. Rector is the co-owner of American Behavioral Consultants, a private practice in Chattanooga, Tennessee. After receiving her MD at the University of Missouri, Columbia, she trained at Vanderbilt University and then completed a fellowship in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. Dr. Rector has served as Associate Medical Director of Children’s Services at the Mental Health Cooperative and then as Medical Director at LifeCare Family Services in the Middle Tennessee area for the last 10 years. During that time, she worked closely with many agencies and school systems to develop services and provide treatment with severe mental illness. She gained experience in the treatment of older adults by working as a consultant in several area nursing homes. She also serves as the consulting Psychiatrist at The Recovery Ranch and at Integrative Life Center facilities that both emphasize holistic recovery from substance abuse, sex addiction, and eating disorders. She has recently received training in the use of TMS for the treatment of resistant depression in adults.
James Reinhard, MD is a board certified psychiatrist who is currently the medical director and associate director of Virginia Tech’s Cook Counseling Center, a university mental health clinic serving the more than 30,000 undergraduate and graduate students on that campus. He has completed a fellowship at Harvard Medical School’s Program in Psychiatry and the Law and has additional board certification in Forensic Psychiatry. Dr. Reinhard received his medical degree from the University of Illinois College of Medicine and completed his psychiatry residency training at Dartmouth Medical School. He is a Distinguished Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association and has served on the Executive Board (Vice President) of the National Association of State Mental Health Program Directors.
Cassandra Simms, MD is Board Certified in Adult and Child & Adolescent Psychiatry. Dr. Simms is currently the owner of Comprehensive Psychiatric Care, a private practice, in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Dr. Simms received her medical degree from the University of Kentucky in 1999, and completed her Psychiatry Residency and Child/Adolescent fellowship at the University of South Carolina. During her residency, she served on the Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee, Residency Selection Committee and was chosen to be Chief Resident for the Child & Adolescent Fellowship Program. Since her residency, she has worked with Focus Psychiatric Services, Inc. and Parkridge Valley Hospital treating children and adolescents in an outpatient and inpatient setting, with Community Health Systems via SkyRidge Medical Center providing outpatient care to adults and children, and with Pine Ridge Treatment Center providing acute hospitalization, consultation and intensive outpatient programs for adults.
